The 100 year anniversary of the launching of X16, Mystery, owned by John Miller, was  celebrated on Saturday 20th May by the Lymington XOD Division.  The occasion was marked by a course which was MYSTEPY (the nearest that could be achieved by the race committee)!  Due to a shifting north-easterly breeze, the course was shortened at S and then Mystery lead the fleet fleet back up the river to cross the Club finish line before mooring up on the jetty. Mystery and her crew were then cheered by each boat as they did a sail by past the pontoon.
This was followed by a celebratory champagne and cake party attended by over 40 members and our Club’s Commodore! Speeches were made by John Miller, owner of X16 for about the past 20 years, the Division Captain, Paul Woodman, and, finally, our Class historian, Richard Field.
