The XOD Class Committee is delighted to announce the appointment of Carol Dunning as the new XOD Class Secretary.

The Class Captain says:   “I am very pleased to announce that Carol has agreed to become our new Class Secretary with effect from the recent AGM.  Carol is well known to many of you and has been involved with XODs longer than most of our membership. She has taken to the role brilliantly and please introduce yourself to her over the coming season.

On behalf of all of us, I would like to thank Gill for taking on the role for the last three years. It has been a difficult period for all and has done a wonderful job keeping the Association on track. Now she has more free time, I hope we will see her out on the water more often in Heyday”.

Carol writes:  “I started racing XOD’s in 1981 with my father, Gerry Shute, when he retired to Lymington. He owned Sapphire X81 for 3 years (she was sadly lost in the Cowes Fire in 2016).  We bought Lonestar X119 from Itchenor in 1984, racing her at Lymington and at Cowes Week.  We now own Crumpet X176 and continue to race competitively.  I am very enthusiastic about the XOD Class and look forward to my new role as Class Secretary”.

Carol has taken over as XOD Class Secretary from Tuesday 1st November.  email:
