Since its inception in 2008, the XOD fleet has enjoyed participating in Classics Week in Cowes during July. This regatta is for classic racing yachts, comprising day boats, metre boats, classic yachts, old gaffers and spirit of tradition yachts, and has a schedule of racing over five days integrated with a programme of social events ashore.
From 13 boats in the first year, the XOD entry to Classics Week grew quickly in four years to around 30 boats. Since 2014, the entry has been in excess of 40 boats, making the XOD Class the largest fleet in the regatta.

With tea after racing, daily prize givings, evening social events and a Regatta Dinner, the relaxed friendly atmosphere in Classics Week provides plenty of opportunities to mingle with all the other Classes, especially the non-Solent fleets who visit for the week.
Classic Week in 2022 will run from Monday 27th June to Friday 1st July 2022.
