1955 by Hamper
Built in 1958 by Hampersand has an interesting history. She’s made out of mahogany and underwent a full restoration which was completed in summer 2023. I can provide a survey of her condition before I did the work so you can compare how she was to her now. Lot of time and money was put into her to get her racing, I hope someone else can take her on and get her tuned ready for the 2024 season!
Below is a list of all the work done:
Hull and exposed wood fully stripped down to wood.
Repairs to hull and new splices in covering boards
Above and below the waterline fully sanded, filled and faired!
Hull paint (toplac pro 7 coats)
Deck paint (Hempel deck paint 3 coats) would benefit from a 4th to keep on top of it.
Exposed wood finished (Hempel Dura gloss, had 11 coats before Cowes Week)
All new Marlow and kingfisher ropes and control lines 2023 ( some lines aren’t spliced incase needed to adjust them) Every rope on the boat is new.
All brand new blocks, tracks and deck fittings 2023 ( Mainly Harken, Ronstan and Nautos)
Carbon Spinnaker pole
New adjustable forestay
Modern set up but needs tweaking and tuning to make her perfect.
Unfortunately, I no longer have the time to sail her as I’m in my last year of university and next year I will be abroad. I’ve loved every second working on her and reviving her, and it was even better to finally sail her. Her mast broke at Cowes Week, luckily there was no damage to any fittings or the boat. She will come with her original mast, which can be spliced together, and/or I can arrange for Amber to come with a 2nd hand mast. She comes with multiple sets of sails, all used however good enough to club race and get started. Comes with original fittings and items from the 60s as well as all new lines, fenders and a cover. Doesn’t have a trailer but I can help transport.
I’m open to ALL offers, as I’m looking for a quick sale ensuring she IS racing next year. She is in Botley SO30 viewings are all welcome!

1965 by Hampers
Built in 1965 by Hampers of mahogany on oak. She was splined and epoxy coated by Haines in 2004 and has been very well maintained ever since. She has a soft luff jib set up by SL Yachting and comes with 2 sets of North sails one of which is new and unused. She is a very light boat and is on minimum weight with correctors. She comes fully equipped with TacTic, outboard bracket, lines, fenders etc.
I have owned and enjoyed her since 2004 but due to relocation it is time for her next owner to take over. She is currently ashore undercover in Birdham.
I am keen to see her back on the water so I am offering her for sale at £3500, which I think represents very good value.
