X13 Mischief

1924 by Woodnutt

X13 Mischief

Selling beloved Mischief who has been under the same ownership since 1994. Early years of that ownership the winter maintenance was carried out at Latham’s Yard. In 2005/6 she benefited from a new keelson and deadwood. In 2017/8 keel was removed, shotblasted, weighed and corrected. All significant woodwork over the last decade has been carried out by a master-shipwright.

Qualifies for Veterans Cup I at Cowes Week.

Paraphrased from An Encyclopaedia of X Boats 1911 – 2011(Richard Field, 2012): a Woodnutt, but only by a process of elimination……chronologically she should have been built between May 1924 and March 1925……her lines are beautifully faired and fine like a Newman, as is her sheerline and she sails like a Newman…

Currently on the Hamble, viewing by appointment.

Sold with:

  • Road trailer (braked)
  • Spars
  • Two suits of sails (and an extra spinnaker)
  • Two aluminium spinnaker poles
  • Fenders, lines, etc
  • HRSC mooring for 2021 if required

X30 Onward

1920 by Woodnutt

Onward – fully refurbished in 2007

Sad to sell Onward that Ron Rogers persuaded me to buy from Jason Field after a full refurbishment in 2007.

She  has given me great fun for 10 years and more.

Onward, equipped with all spars, rig and full set of Batt sails is in fair condition and was raced in the 219 season. She comes with a Hamble  XOD pontoon mooring shown.

I will miss owning her in her centenary year!

She can be seen laid up in Satchell Lane Hamble.
